One of the things that often is thought after the fact is considering dodge caravan extended warranties. Besides the fact that there is a fairly good warranty coverage when you first buy your vehicle new, there are those who want to purchase a reliable van of some sort only a few years old and these people, therefore, may be more interested in researching the best options for a warranty plan.

The Dodge Caravan Extended Warranty option was one of those things that you sometimes think about when you first purchase a vehicle new but never seem to get around to doing. This option of an extended warranty was one of those items on my buddies to do list from the day he bought his new Dodge Caravan but didn't get the attention it needed. On a recent visit, I asked him if he still liked his caravan and I wasn't at all surprised at his response.

He found the caravan a really good highway vehicle with enough vigour and get up and go to keep him moving the way he wanted. This acceleration was especially important because he had to travel on busy super highways where patience of other drivers was something that was sadly lacking.
He told me that he felt secure within the cab environment and the bucket seats seemed to give him just the support he needed. The biggest factor he liked was the room for carrying all those things you probably never thought you'd have to but ended up doing anyways. He recently had to move the contents of an entire sewing room including two long sewing tables, a ton of fabric, and a machine. Not really a problem for most except it had to be delivered a few hundred miles away and he only wanted to make one trip. The option of removing the third seat, and the ability to fold the other seats down made the task a lot easier than he thought.

One of the things that he needed to do soon was to look into the availability of an extended warranty since the original warranty was about to run out in a few short months. His dilemma was what to purchase as additional coverage, and whether this was really an option he wanted to exercise. He also was considering selling the vehicle before the warranty expired not because he didn't like it, but more because he really didn't have a need for another vehicle anymore.

The other reason you may want to consider investigating an extended warranty for your dodge caravan now is that there may be fewer and fewer parts available if auto companies bring in hybrid vehicles faster than even first thought. My son would have been a lot better off with his chevy trailblazer and the purchase of an extended warranty if he had been really up on warranty issues.

No matter his choice, extended warranties are an option to be carefully considered especially if the vehicle is about to lose its original new car warranty. And, since warranties are not all the same, it is really important to read every word before you purchase. The last thing you want to do is to spend good money only to find that you don't have the coverage you need or want.


The smarter move is to spend time now doing a lot of research so you can make an informed decision and not a panic or off the cuff decision that you'll regret.
